The art world at your fingertips

Its easy to use, and the global reach of the database is unmatched.

Wow.

I love it! Already starred some shows I want to see. Very useful.

one stop shop!

Its very useful when Im going to openings and the nearby function is the best! Also, i like that its not just nyc listings... Im traveling in europe this summer, so now I can plan ahead and save shows to see while Im there.

AWESOME

I have never reviewed an app before, but I just had to write something for this one. It is such a great helper for me, as I am incredibly disorganized and can never remember where or when any events are. Now I can keep track of them easily! Also great that there are global options, I travel a ton for work, and never know what to do in the cities Im in. Looking forward to using this even more in the future!

Easy and useful!

This is exactly what Ive been waiting for!!

great app!

This app is so useful. Its very helpful to have an organized, accurate, interactive mobile list of exhibitions and events in hand. I used it in Chelsea last weekend and was reminded of exhibitions I would have otherwise missed.

Great app!

I use this app all the time! The data is comprehensive and the interface easy to navigate—a must-have for doing the Chelsea rounds.

Artworld guidebook

While usually I completely dislike art apps, this one is terrific. It is a constantly updating, all encompassing and personal guidebook - literally at your fingertips. Absolutely everything you would need to know about seeing art anywhere, abroad or at home, so easy to use, and so easy to personalize. Although I dont want to admit it, I am already finding it essential.

Great for non art people

A great app for people like me who arent the most plugged into the art world to find out what to see. I had no idea there were so many options in my city for viewing new artists at weekly gallery openings. Very clear, consistent layout and doesnt spam you with ads. Well worth the $3

Not What I Expected

While having a list of local museums is helpful, the events should also be limited to a local area, rather than a worldwide database.

Indispensable guide for seeing art internationally

A necessary tool for navigating the chaos of the art world. I use this frequently in New York to stay on top of whats opening, closing, and shows I would have otherwise missed, and found it equally useful when I was in London. This app is great for letting art aficionados feel like a native whereever they are.

Best art app!

I absolutely love this app. It gives you a comprehensive guide of everything thats happening in the art world. I highly recommend it.

Must have!

A must have app for anyone who wants to know whats going on around them in the art world! Exactly what I was looking for.

Good start; improve Events and Fairs?

Good start on an ambitious app. Very strongly focused on a few big art cities, which is understandable, but more venues in the other cities listed will be a great update. In the Events section and Fairs section, the locations start with street address and are cut off very short; you cant see any of the cities or countries systematically displayed, so theyre difficult to browse. Once those two sections are eyeballable, they will be more useful. It doesnt quite feel like a $3 app yet, but I can tell it will get there. Best global art app Ive seen so far.

Good enough

Met my expectations. I hope they offer an iPad version in the future though.

Fantastic!!

I just got a new iPad and I am loving the ArtForum app. Im a commuter and it makes my train ride in the morning that much more enjoyable. Not only is the quality of the content superior to other Art World journals and magazines I subscribe to, but the user interface of this app is outstanding. Cheers to the genius at ArtForum!

My favorite!

Im so impressed by this app that I decided to write a review (my first). I use it in NYC all the time and cant wait to use it as my guide to discover the art scene when I visit Beijing. So easy to use and also love the graphics. Thanks Artforum for helping me navigate the art world!

Frustrating

Trying to see if each listing can lead to multiple images of the work involved is not convenient. How would you like a browser program that spit up a confirmation dialog just to follow a link?

Incorporate open hours into gallery listings

It would be very helpful if the app gave the option of displaying only galleries and museums that were currently open.

Buggy

Dont often buy an app, but thought this would be interesting. Crashes, links sometimes work sometimes dont. Items listed for months in which they dont take place. Too bad there is no ability to return an app.
